Philanthropy

AOIIs are women who are committed to making the world a better place. The philanthropy we support internationally is the Arthritis Foundation and Alpha Omicron Pi members all over the world have raised over $4.5 million to date for arthritis research and other philanthropic causes.

Volunteer-Alpha Love

Our chapter, Iota Chi, actively pursues a variety of local projects. AOII supports London and the university community by donating our time and money to charitable organizations like the Boys and Girls Club of London, the London Food Bank, London Regional Children's Museum and the Canadian Breast Cancer Society.

Every Halloween, AOII works with the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at the University of Western Ontario to run a haunted house for the Boys and Girls Club of London. In the spring, Alpha Omicron Pi hosts an annual fashion show where we raise money for our international philanthropy. We have also organized chapter-wide events to volunteer and raise money at the London Food Bank, the Arthritis Society's annual Arthritis Walk and our first-ever movie night at Western Film, which was very successful.

Not only does AOII participate in a multitude of philanthropy events in the Greek scene at Western, on campus with other organizations, and within the London community, our members also volunteer individually. Each sister has their own special cause to support and participate with different organizations and events such as Shinerama, the Terry Fox Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.
